How the Event Works

Presentation Format

In the first hour of PitchForce, presenting companies will have a demo table to showcase their company to investors and guests. During this time attendees, will vote for their favorite companies. The top five companies will present to a panel of Angels and VC’s and one bottom five company will be chosen by our panel to come back in as a wild card. The panel makes this decision after the bottom five companies present their 1-minute elevator pitch.

The six selected companies will deliver a 4-minute presentation followed by 4-minutes of questions and answers and 4-minutes of feedback. The panel then votes on a scale of 1-5.

  • 5:00 – 6:00 pm: Networking, Appetizers, Wine and Demo Tables- Vote for Top Startups
    • How does voting work?
      • Each of the panelists and audience members receive 4 $1M bills. They can choose to spend their money in any way they like, to any company of their choosing. The more money in the presenters basket, the higher chance the presenter has in advancing to give their 4-minute pitch to the panel.
      • The top 5 companies advance to the next round of pitching where they will present their 4 minute pitch deck.
  • 6:15 – 6:30 pm: Top five startups are announced to pitch, remaining companies pitch for the wild card round
    • If you do not advance to the next round (4-minute pitch), you will give a 1-minute elevator pitch to the panel. From the companies that give the 1-minute pitch off, the panelists will determine one company that will move to the 4-minute round with the other 5 companies.
  • 6:30 – 8:00 pm: Top 6 companies pitch to the distinguished panel
  • 8:00 – 8:30 pm: Networking
